Sun In a Cloudless Sky

Sun In a Cloudless Sky

A Poem by Bobby Madden
"

Something for someone I miss.

"

So much time went by.

I could’ve had you.

Now you’re gone.

So far away.

It hurts so much to wait.

But I have no choice.

Even if you’re not in my arms.

You’ll always be in my heart.

Just be strong.

I’ll do the same.

One day I’ll see you.

And hug you.

And kiss you.

We’ll spend a day on top of the world.

We’ll make a memory we can smile upon.

Then we’ll go our separate ways.

And continue with our lives.

But just for awhile.

We’ll leave everything behind.

I’ll have you.

And you’ll have me.

And we’ll unload everything.

Whatever was kept inside.

Whatever was accumulating.

It will be seen.

It will be known.

I’ll feel it with my heart.

And my body.

I’ll be able to feel it forever.

So I can tolerate the distance.

The lack of your touch.

Just pretend there’s no tomorrow.

Nothing to regret.

No reason to restrain.

Be cautious of no consequence.

Act like it’s your only chance.

Embed every sensation.

In my nervous system forever.

Wear no mask.

Wear no armor.

Be a sun in a cloudless sky.

I want your purity.

And I want all of it.

Very journalistic. It's definitely got prose but more in a sense like it's a page from your jounral. Still feels so young to me.

Very emotional and equally strongly described. Great to read. Nice poem.
