The Man With Fire on His Face

The Man With Fire on His Face

A Poem by Bobby Madden
"

Insidious.

"

I am a visitor

I am a dweller of the realm that is known as the Further

I strive for a chance to live again

To inflict suffering to the children of light

I am a visitor

I am a demon of terrifying power

I transgress into the world of the living

Where the travelers leave their vessels behind

I am a visitor

They venture into my dark domain

And get lost amidst the tortured souls of the dead

Lingering prey for me to assail

I am a visitor

They can run, but they cannot hide

They have no f*****g idea what I’m capable of

I am your worst f*****g nightmare

I am visitor

Redness, blackness, candlelight

The mist surrounds you as you wallow in fright

And pray that you will get back home tonight

I am a visitor

My true name is unknown to all who fear me

But some call me the Lipstick-Face Demon

And some call me The Man With Fire on His Face

I am a visitor
