Child of the Night

Child of the Night

A Poem by Claire Elizabeth Deadwood

The Moon sings to me her lullaby
As she blankets me under her silver light.
The stars decorate my hair
With their pale light.
My soul has traveled from the Milky Way.
I am a child of the night sky.

lovely in it's simplicity of form and quite elegant in imagery, good work!

This is beautiful!

It's short, simple, and sweet- but very well written.

I especially enjoy the line "the stars decorate my hair with their pale light." That imagery is fantastic and adds very well to the feel of the poem.

I love it, great work!
