Homesick

Homesick

A Poem by Molly
"

I find the ending to be weak.

"

Drip.  Drip.  Drip. Let me pour

down through the ceiling,

under the door,

down the backstairs

and into the dirt;

seeping away from

my irrational hurt.

Burning and broiling,

soul getting crispy.

Anger, much toiling;

speech turning lispy

with rage and malaise.

Oh please make it leave,

forced out through the haze.

Wrap me up cosmos,

and help me escape

back to the land

of happiness great.

Come swooping in,

be my shining knight

and tear me away

from depressing blight.

Blow me away to

somewhere that is new.

Away to where home is,

with laughter and kisses,

playful banter, much love,

home that fits like a glove.

Take me home

Take me home

Oh please let me go home.

Won’t  you let me,

please let me,

I want to go home!
