As a Mistress

As a Mistress

A Poem by Molly
"

I wrote this in the back of a notebook for a class last semester and just found it, so up it goes!

"

Speak, mistress,

words soft as down,

the texture of the light hair on your arm.

Sleep, mistress;

nap sweetly still

on my shoulder, face lit by the moon.

Peek, mistress,

at me, from under drowsy eyes,

lids blinking, loving and slow.

Seek, mistress,

my parted lips;

bless me with quiet embraces.

And please keep, mistress,

my arms to always hold you,

to have me through the fullness of time.
