Taunting Thoughts

Taunting Thoughts

A Poem by The Things She Noted

The airplanes close to my home

Circling my neighbourhood

Taunting

Self deprivation is only a depravity for so long

Pitiful

And then I thought

How life was inherently sad

Nurture or nature

Sad in the way

You are just a moment

In a movement of molecules

Sad in the way

That happiness is heavy

Gravitational pull

A moment of thoughtlessness is what we crave for in a 4 hour meditation.
Still, we don't get any reprieve of these throughs, isn't it?

We can only hope for such a moment of peace
Taunting thoughts indeed
Still thinking
Enjoyed this read
Loved how the self depravity line was stuck in the middle
Unique format only adds to it
Keep getting closer to heaven

Thank you so much!! I really appreciate your sentiments in regards to the poem :)
Happiness always seems to come at a price or be short-lived...
we are just a moment in the scheme of things aren't we?

really like this piece.
