Shiny Objects

Shiny Objects

A Poem by TheUnrulyWriter

Silly, silly me

I was stuck inside a dream

Where I wandered lonely forests

With empty boxes in the trees

I liked the noises in the branches

Where trinkets trinkled in the breeze

I liked the faeries’ daedal dances

And their tricky little pleas

But the Ravens in the Heavens

They had seen this story before

They knew chasing Shiny Objects

Gets you lost forevermore
