Blue and greys

An ocean of stars

Spotting a satellite

By the street sign

Taking rides

In that old car

Where the cat would escape

From the sun

Walking in circles

Thinking of songs

Wearing the shoes

That I used to

The cat was alive

The porch was alight

We were sitting there

Like we should

Back when things mattered

Before we were torn

When the word altogether 

Felt just like home

The truths had been told

That were so long on hold

But the camera couldn't capture 

Our eyes

But when we're in doubt

Just look through the clouds

And what matters the most 

Will shine through

For tears are just clear

But blood is like fire

And we're scarred with the truth

Of our love

I liked the way you elaborated those fragmented thoughts. Contemplation and reminiscing about the past memories evoke many emotions within us.
But when we're in doubt
Just look through the clouds
And what matters the most
Will shine through
I loved this stanza a lot, In darkness only we can see the real light.
The best part about this whole poem is every stanza is beautifully crafted.From the beginning to the end every stanza is conveying something ( like sadness, pain, hope etc)
The ending stanza is very deep and poignant. It left me pondering.
Blues and Greys and Blood and Tears- interesting theme and emotions filled content.

What a nice review, thank you!! This poem was actually quite difficult for me to write, so I'm glad you enjoyed the way it turned out. Most of the subjects I write about are very abstract or philosophical, but the point of this poem was very set in stone in my head, so it was more of a challenge. :)
