A song I wrote after my great grandpa died. His wife had died many years ago and he missed her very much.

An old friend died

Started a riot

He’s where the cows would graze

I felt a breeze on my mind

I should have opened my eyes

I was the last one

To step foot on the moon

This is such beautiful poetry. When I read this I had images of my Father and the sadness of father time himself. The question in the Universe what is next? I can feel the underlined rhythm that plays along sort of like a Lula bye, this is beautiful.

These are exactly the kind of thoughts I had when I found out my grandfather died and wrote this song. I'm glad they translated over to the reader as well. I was totally going for a lullabye feel, as well. I wanted it to be sad, but also soft and sweet, like something you could sing to a child. Thank you for the review :)
