Daylight Sings the Aftermath of Dusk

Daylight Sings the Aftermath of Dusk

A Poem by The Villain
"

Sometimes it's hard...

"

Sometimes, I look at myself in the mirror

I try and ignore the voices

and keep my mind off of that ever pressing issue

"Will I ever make him proud?"

but all of this is to no avail

the voices come stronger

and the issue prevails…

I want to do the right thing.

I really do.

but sometimes, I can’t help but wonder

what if I CAN’T do the right thing

because I’m NOT the right person?

I don’t know.

Whether or not these problems consume me

seems to no longer be the issue at hand

it’s about whether I’ll survive the event.

And throughout all of this

the voices remain

helping to further my descent.
