Her Face Speaks Wonder

Her Face Speaks Wonder

A Poem by ThisWriter'sHeart

That look, when we connect
and know we feel the same, experience the same,
are not alone.
Her hand shoots out
as if to steady herself while the earth beneath trembles,
yet it does not tremble, rather stays still.
Her face speaks wonder
through eyes open wide, intent on my words still lingering in the air,
through the slight smile that appears when she sees that they are real.
Her face speaks wonder,
and sometimes when we are close
our hands find each other and meet in wondrous embrace,
fingers interlocked, reluctant to separate.
Yes her face speaks wonder
and in those moments i want to lean forward
and kiss her gently on the lips...
But until that day
we will share that look
and my face will speak wonder too.
