I Dream

As I dream of lost chances bad lives hard times and romances I believe. I believe what may seem a dream will one day become today's reality, that you and me can see.
I Dream
Of safe places for children to smile, great days that will last awhile I dream you will see me for all I truly am and really give a dam about my plans.
I Dream
Will I one day get third of living? Will I just get up and end up in prison, will I stay strong hold on to all I can hold on to.
I Dream
Will my childhood haunt me day and night, will I one day be able to correct my wrongs in life? Can I cure my pain without a drank or a needle in my veins , will I go to sleep and wake up again.
I Dream
Will my pockets stay broke our will I find a job, will I be forced to one day steal or rob, will I be able to provide if I have a child?
In asking these questions because my soul is torn. Does anyone have some answers to ease my worries?
I don't know?
But I dream that I will succeed.
So forget all you people who keep doubting me.
I'm trying to become the man that my kids do need.
So I'm not stopping until I reach my dreams.
My dreams,
My soul,
My woes,
My ups,
My downs,
My smiles,
My frowns,
My life,
My lessons,
My beliefs,
My heart right here,
for all to see,

I love the way you use repetition here. The reader is swept along side the narrator’s anxiety, and it makes for a fantastic read. The end especially is a breath of fresh air.
