The sun melted down in soft haze over his house and the small, complex garden outside. He woke when the birds did to water his plants and his flowers and his tree at the end of his path. He then took a walk out through the plains and the hills and the valleys and the rivers and the towns and the cities, picking up seeds as he went. When the world turned gold and the skies glowed pink, he planted his seeds in his garden and went back to sleep.
There is almost nothing wrong with this--aside from being far too short.
I might have trimmed a bit here and there: "the sun melted" instead of "melted down"; "he woke with the birds" rather than 'when they did'; "a walk through" rather than "walk out through"; maybe "sky" instead of "skies". But that could be just me.

Nah you right. I tend to type more words than I really need. Maybe one day it won't be so short. read moreNah you right. I tend to type more words than I really need. Maybe one day it won't be so short.

This is great. Often, I don't have ample words to use in a review, and that's the case right now. At first it seemed like a nice story about an old fellow and his garden, but then it became a mysterious folk tale. Love it, just love it.
