Out of the Silence

Out of the Silence

A Poem by Gavin S.
"

come back when you get the chance

"

Out of the silence

Into the cold

The hanging air

As it rises and falls

Picking up stones

From the shorelines you pass

Polished by waves

They smell of salt

On the sand where they sleep

Coming up to the sun

Moving and crawling

Then digging back down again

And it waits on the sea

From the long horizon

It waits for the day

When you sail out and find it
