Rhythmic Stumbling

Rhythmic Stumbling

A Poem by The River Man

A walk in the dark

Cool and calm in the park

Found a friend

For pretend

I recommend you stay away

Simply for the sake of sanity

Basic humanity

free of forms

The death of vanity

We go down the wrong street

And read the writing on the walls

Telling us all

That it is indeed time for fall

A conical cold projection

Of fake affection and real rejection

Wrapped in opaque beauty

Bitter and fierce in nature

It cares not to assert or assume

It only likes it when you loom

Like this full moon

In my room
