What is a Leader

This is a poem I wrote for a school project, but I really like it and I hope you do to!

What is a leader

How do they act

Is a leader perfect

Like glass without a crack

Do they have any fault

Have they done anything wrong

Is a leader ever weak

Or are they always strong

With all these pictures

Clouding my head

I never knew what was right

But now I see where this lead

Striving for perfection

See where that got us

We’re farther downhill

We’d go back if we could just

See the reality

And look past the fantasy

They aren’t always respected

They aren’t always loved

But leaders are the people

We should be proud of

Leaders aren’t all surface

They are more than you can see

When no one is around

They show who they can be

Leaders are human

They aren’t robots

They’ve made mistakes

Even if they’re uncaught

But they won’t let mistakes stop them

A leader knows what they believe

They learn from what they’ve done

Won’t let it under their sleeve

They aren’t always followed

But a leader knows where they want to go

It’s like a flower being planted

They don’t need other seeds to grow

A leader

Strives

Thrives

Takes the wheel of life and drives

A leader

Always

Survives
