free verse 2

i am an artist

i hear a song and i make a story

i see a scene and i take a photo

i see a friend, a family member and i paint a picture

i am an artist

i get emotional at critics

but never blame them

i put my emotions out there

but always keep them caged

i am a person

i have a hobby

i have a life

and yet 

i am an artist 

more then a person 

more then myself

because 

i am more then myself 

all the emotions 

i have from those critics

my friends

my family

i use the emotions

to create art

because without emotions

art wouldn't exist

and of course with out art

i wouldn't be an artist
