Let someone else make the tea

Let someone else make the tea

A Poem by Beatrice Mars

Oh look at me,

I got the world

Around my neck

And it's just swinging there like

A pretty little stone

On the beach.

Oh look at me,

I've got the world,

And it's just swinging there

Like a noose

Around my neck,

Making me do the right thing.

i do like this lots and lots and lots, the rhythm is brilliant and there's something about your words that create a really good image to me "and it's just swinging there like a pretty little stone on the beach". i didn't like the whole noose thing, just beacuse i don't want it to be a noose because beth, i quite like you :P but haha it's still really good imagery and it's a brilliant poem. :)
