Today's Panic Attack

Today's Panic Attack

A Poem by ThisVivian
"

As most of my other poems, this ABAB one has 100 words as well.

"

I jammed on my sickness today:
for my computer caught a virus.
It had my body then swung gray,
since any bug would be a crisis.

When I told my Daddy about it,
at me, he actually did just yell.
Since Dad’s easily caught in a fit,
he can make anyone’s day: hell!

While he was working on my Mac,
I stammered words out, unclearly.
Daddy gave me a sad panic attack,
actually one I had, very severe(ly)!

Encephalitis is my horrible disease,
one I have actually had for a decade.
This has me ill at ease…
cannot be fade.

It sounds as though the poet is taking a lemon and making lemonade with it. It is good that she can describe it in a semi-lighthearted way, but obviously it was no picnic while it was happening. Take your meds, breathe deeply and good luck to you.
