A Poem by Thorn
"

A poem that I barely remember writing.

"
I could have been civilised.
To wait, for "civility's" sake,
Instead of surging forward
Like a great wave, to smother
A little child (without thought).

I could have been you,
In a city, warm, but not content.

Look, I don't even remember what this is about. I found it in my poetry book, and thought it wasn't too shabby. Please tell me what you think. It might help jog my memory. xD

I absolutely love this. I love the imagery of it. I'm not sure what it's about either, but I really love it. The last line makes me think that they don't want to be "warm" or perhaps "kind", and the first stanza makes me think that they're rash and maybe dont think things through. I dunno. But I love this. You are such an amazing poet.(:

I like it. I am thinking perhaps it is about not letting someone do something on their own........
