![]() Birthday HysteriaA Poem by ThreeWrites
One day at a time, no more resolution for this year I can find,
It’s all propagated you can remember that, as you sip that sweet cherry wine, I’m sick of all this hysteria over calendars adding a digit to the age of my mind, I can’t recall when things actually went according to plan, I had to think back, do a rewind, Most of history was wasted, by the rich oppressing slaves, so in turn they use colors of ones skin, so we can’t see the true signs, Now we are forced to wake up, and seek the truth, after we finish a nine - five, Go buy yourself some sleep, as you finish your grind, Just like police, death doesn’t take no bribes, So while I sit here and write, maybe i’ll get some exercise, Maybe you can get that possession you’ve always wanted, as they tax you along your ride. This is what they call, the people’s money fine, Everything will be alright as long as you comply, If you do what’s right, then all your troubles should just slide. Except when you can’t afford to pay for a holiday, even when your wallet is open wide, Leaving your family to wallow and cry, So I’m giving up on holidays, I’ve put them aside, I’m done giving in, I’ve tried. © 2025 ThreeWrites |
