Life's Illusion

Life's Illusion

A Poem by Crifa

Consume the light,
Take its power,
Spread its grace,
Like a shower.

Learn to absorb,
Take in the heat,
Like dark colors,
In the suns golden sheet.

The light is your mood,
Happy and fun,
So grasp this joy,
Straight from the sun.

You think you are sheltered,
You think you're a sore,
But you aren't looking hard,
Its out your front door.

That joy isn't far,
No matter what you may see,
Life is an illusion,
Hiding your life from glee.

Just step out,
Take a chance,
That old cemetery,
Is different when you glance.

See a little closer,
Stop and study life,
Once you see clearly,
You'll put away that knife.

I liked all the different writing techniques and aspects. You had a lot of nice similes and relations and I absolutely loved the last line.
The meaning of the poem was great and I think once again you have shown us what you're capable of...even when it's not you're best
