Goodbye

Everything's cold and spinning about.
Pounding and pounding my heart makes it's beat.
Not a drummer in a band,
But a blacksmith hammering heat.
Smash, smash, sizzle, sizzle,
I feel my heart cracking and leaking it out.
Pouring like the falls; a never ending thunder,
My feelings are flooding and halting my laugher.

I look at you and want to hate,
But all I feel is love.
I stare at you unable to wait,
But my patience holds true.
They tell me to move on.
They tell me it's too late.
Unable to give up I stay,
Waiting for a train that passed.
My will to love is my will to live,
And I fear it's running low.
