Death of Two Lovers

Death of Two Lovers

A Poem by Crifa

Fire consumes all around,
Escape is near impossible,
Heartbeats no longer make sound,
Accepting death is inevitable,
He says "We did all we can",
Death arrives as lovers, link each others hands.

I agree with Shy Girl on the main part.
All in all, this one is one of your harder ones to understand, quite deep, but I love it!
This poem is an amazing display if a death with love right at their side. Love linking hands as death arrives both symbolically and in reality just paints a beautiful picture. Great work, keep it up

Such a sad thing to know death is coming and you can't get out. This connected to me on a different level than just the consuming firey deaths... It said to me that there can be more than the physical to kill love. They "link each others hands" as a final parting in handshake..."we did all we can" as this ending is what it is..death of their relationship..and they tried all possible to fix it, but the fires, outside influences or inner issues, consumed that love and left nothing but ash behind where a wonderful union once was...hope that made some sense there :)
