Altitude

Altitude

A Poem by Thunderlyrics

Shuffling through this

Miasma called life
I find myself
Reflecting..
A lot of
Introspecting
About where I am now
And where
I wanna be..
The outcome I hope
Is a better me..

I often wonder
Who would attend
The funeral
Signaling my end
Will it be those with…
Malicious snickers
Or those who
Proposed to be flames..
That turned out
Just flickers

Will it be those who
Use their orotundity
To make some
Useless commentary
About how I left my mark
But at what price
In the end they think it costs me..

I wish I could sit
At a high altitude
And look upon those
With fortitude
Those I called friends..
Those I dismissed as foes..
And really see…
How the end of the story goes
