Novelty

Novelty

A Poem by Tiaan
"

Basically a poem I wrote when I realized that my life was one big routine. Every day I went through the same actions. This was my way of surviving but it was also driving me crazy.

"
My neuropaths are well travelled
These roads are tarred, no longer gravelled.

Routines form my life.
Sometimes they force me to grab the knife.

Tediousness, the most prominent word in my vocabulary.

Oh, the novelty of novelty.
Same thing day in and day out.
How these thoughts fill my mind with doubt.

Days turn into nights.
Hobbies turn into habits.
That which you love
will soon become nothing more than routine.

Too much of a good thing is never good.
Too much of a good thing is never enough.
