Send Me Home

Send Me Home

A Poem by Tatiana Lexia

She's got her hands stretched towards Heaven,

Begging to come home.

She begs for the love 70 x 7;

"Please just take me home."

She screams up towards him,

Wanting to be set free

Of the life forever set in Sin.

"Please just take me home.

Oh Lord, my God,

Please send me home."

Blood dripping down her fingers,

The blade slipping in her hand.

Her cut is deep and plenty,

Full of reprimand.

Staining red all of her clothes,

And showing her mortality;

Each and every day that comes

Dies from this mentality.

"Please just take me home.

Oh Lord, my God,

Please send me home."

Each tear is like a bullet

Being fired into her chest.

Maybe she should just cool it;

This isn't for the best.

There's one thing she forgets:

He won't send her home.

She'll make it through--she's strong.

Maybe she’ll make it through if she thinks

It won't last that long.
