I Hope This Isn't You

I Hope This Isn't You

A Poem by Tatiana Lexia

The melancholic burn,

The resistance deep inside;

It's something that I yearn;

I feel like I've died.

I'll wish my pain away,

And crumple into a ball.

Falling back into the fray,

I've truly seen it all.

This vice is deep within--

It hurts just to say--

This truly is a sin,

My night and day.

Don't say that you know this,

Because you truly don't.

Tell me of your black abyss--

You and I both know that you won't.

I don't know where to go,

Or what I should do.

The only thing that I know,

Is that I hope this isn't you.
