Tight Rope

Tight Rope

A Poem by Tatiana Lexia

Walk across the tight rope--
Ride an angry bull--
Forget the right equipment--
Don't protect your skull.

Let me flirt with danger;
Make it known that I'm there.
Play a game of chance,
Or risky truth or dare.
I'll walk throughout the day,
Feeling light as air,
Ignoring all the dangers,
Since chance is never fair.

Now, looking into the face
Of my deepest fear,
Gazing into evil eyes, all I feel,
Is a dark sense of cheer.
