your god is blind

your god is blind

A Poem by Carla Bellino

if you could see me, why didn’t you save me? i begged and pleaded, hoping that you would hear me weeping. i thought prayers were heard. i thought you would answer. but you remained silent.
so, i left the rest of my faith in the pupil of your eye. “perhaps if He could just see me,” i thought, “he will protect me.” and i believe[d].
i was never saved.
perhaps i was unworthy,
or perhaps your God is blind.
he’s no longer my god.
like i was to him, he is nonexistent to me.

~Your dissolution from belief is understandable. Searching history may show plenty of evidence that he does not exist. However, there will always be those who rely on faith which is hard for others to comprehend. Both side I suppose will always disagree. You wrote this in a provocative way and very well I might add.~
