I know the argument
I play it over and over in my head
The thoughts and ideas
I know she is weak
Emotions make her so
I thought strength, will, determination would prevail
But emotion played its part far to well.
They use it
Emotion,
To get what they want
They take with no remorse
No thought of what it is there taking
They just play you
The second you feel bad they win
The only defense is not to feel
To be hard like the stone
And as forgiving as the cold

Wow. Powerful words. I haven't read your stuff much. I will be rectifying that. This was mesmerizing.

I appreciated the mentality and feelings that I got from this poem, and I really can imagine a person feeling this way. So points for the imagery.
