[untitled]

A Poem by Timothy Rawlings

As I lay on the cool grass that moistens my back and cools my soul

I stare up at the vastness of the night sky above.

Twinkle, Twinkle, Twinkle

The stars wink down at me, enticing me, daring me to try and remove them from their beds.

One, Two, Three fall from their perch and I wish upon them.

So many mysteries, so many wonders and amazing sites.

Yet I am here stuck on a planet where the wonders are being destroyed everyday.

My wish

That the emptiness and beauty I can only glimpse at from afar

Reamins unspoiled from mans greed and need to own everything.

I like the whole feeling of this poem; very nice imagery, too.
The only thing I have to complain about is that it's named "untitled". XD I think titles are extremely important (idea adopted from Sekou Sundiata ^^). "Titles are like a line of your poem writ large, often the most important, most visible part of the poem itself." :]

Nice write, though. ;]

I love your word choice. Such intelect in the words you wisely place into the exact right moment and spot so it flows together like the river itself.
