Change......

Change......

A Poem by Tina Kline
"

.............is not always for the best.

"

In the darkest skies

Where lightning flashes

The world shivers in fear

Of the coming clashes

Hear the roar of pain

Hear the cries of the dying

This is the face of change

The evil dancing and smiling

No morals and no values

Blood spills across the land

Forced change is the death of all

No one learns and too late understands

This is change in the face of war or apocalypse! I hope we never have change like this... Though I love apocalypse genre movies/TV/ books, anything! A very dark picture you painted here Tina, of people learning too late, the values of morality and peace...

Ha... I keep hearing this phrase like a blaring horn, "It's time for a change."
Yes, we need to be dynamic as a society and we must always agree to change or we perish... Duh!
Yet your poem shows that ripping a society apart and then stacking up the broken pieces the way you personally feel they should be stacked destroys a society built to provide liberty.
More than half of American citizens have had their values pissed on and their way of life mocked and destroyed by the government sworn in to protect their rights... When the pendulum swings the other way, it will be just as ugly. It really is about who has control isn't it.
A very strong poem! Glad to see we still have some sane people in the great state of Oregon.

Change is part of life. There is good and bad changes. Today is a bad days for many. Concern for money, the future and what we will leave for our kids. Last line is true. We must learn the hard way. I hope we don't wait too long to figure out. Time to quit spending money we do not have. A outstanding poem. Open the door to thoughts and a long conversation.

Thanks very much Coyote Poetry.
Yes, a very haunting poem. I feel the pain of it. I'm thinking on governmental change or a relationship that is abusive. Nicely written, it really pulls the reader in.

i related to this in a different way...

in this part of the country and as near as 45 mintues from us...we have devastating tornadoes the past few years.
life in a forced change...the terrain completely changed...that which was there, no longer there.

it's all gone, start over...lives shattered...lives built for years and years and generations...blown down in a matter of seconds...very sad.

Thank you. All that forced change you speak of here is very sad indeed.

This poem presence a disturbing image. It inspired me to write the following tiny poem which you may have as a gift.

War

From dark skies,
weapons flash,
By surprise,
armies clash.

Angry eyes
roar in pain.
What was wise,
turns insane.

Broken ties
lead to change.
Culture dies,
all downrange.
