The Unsettled Darkness
A Poem by
Tina Kline
The unsettled darkness could not hold her It was elusive, like ebony gauze No substance that had any strength Nothing to give her pause The unsettled darkness unfolded wide But it held little, could offer nothing She moved through it without effort To her it was empty, just maddening The unsettled darkness howled with pain She noticed it not at all For her something much stronger tempted For her true darkness and blood did call

Cool vampire tale. Very well written. Like the dark chill in the air as I read this.

Love this dark vampire poem. The darkness seems comforting yet not comforting at ll but cold and painful, but her world none the less. Excellent poem.
