Jones 'n' Bones

Jones 'n' Bones

A Poem by Bob Who?

Heavy's the head that bears the crown.

For every Captain's a king upon his deck.

His men live and die by his command.

To hell and back,

if the need be great.

Upon ethereal shores and Earthly seas,

this life was chosen...

Sink or swim.

This ghostly duty,

upon the Dutchman.

For ever.

For eternity...

Captain stands grim,

he made this choice.

Ship and Crew now pay the cost.

No way out,

the bones be cast.

And fate is sealed.

Gave up all,

there's nothing left...

But duty, honor, and this swaying deck underfoot.

From dusk till dawn,

till Earthly life ends.

Keep your eyes to the horizon,

this never ends...

You said you's come home,

so here I stand on Golden Sands.

As the Black and Blue bruise the sky,

tears of hope await a Ghostly Visage.

To see Love's Eyes,

one last time...

Still waiting patiently for you...

Open armed and Empty handed.

You Promised me.

You Promised me..

So here stands Lonliness...

So here stands Emptiness...

So here I stand.
