The Sun

The Sun

A Poem by Tyler Moore

Your voice is like the sun
Warm enough to run
Like fingers down my spine
I want to feel it all the time
Then teeth I wanna taste
Moans I wanna waste
The days away from pain
And to be near you once again.
Your eyes the soil that buried my heart
Just waiting for that race to start
It beats and an beats until we meet
And then I fall apart
Take me by pieces then take me whole
I can make you feel like home
And never have to feel alone
My eyes know more
than my hands ever do
So Please don’t cry
Because I can’t see you
Anymore

When you have someone you have such security in, but you know isn’t there. It’s a sad feeling to cherish someone who isn’t present.

Rhythmically, I see you changed your rhyming scheme a few times. Maybe it doesn’t matter much, but flow and rhythm are essential to a fine piece of poetry, only for the reader to enjoy more. I feel it is a bit of an open or free write. But, the message is very well presented.
