Inside, we all are the Same

Inside, we all are the Same

A Poem by Tomás Ó Cárthaigh
"

Differences truly are but skin deep...

"

Inside, we are all the same...
Naked, to the world we came...
Knowing nothing, tongue or shame
But how to cry

And as we come we shall go
When or how, no man does know
And we shall be all buried below
The cold earth, when we die...

Good poem. I like what Jacob said in his review. It's true. We're born, only knowing how to cry, and then we grow into a world of differences. All of our life lessons take us right back to our roots. To me, the way I see it, that's what the circle of life is all about. Growing, learning, expanding, and returning back to where it all began. Thank you for sharing your writing. You are creative.

kids become adolescent, then middle age, then senior age...
we are not judgmental or prejudiced when we start out...and even if we become that later on, we seem to learn over many years the lessons that bring us back to the womb.

lots expressed in a short piece here...nicely done.

good to read you again.
