Fiddlers Three

Fiddlers Three

A Poem by Tomás Ó Cárthaigh
"

Inspired by a drawing of three fiddlers...

"

Fiddlers three play a tune
In perfect unison
Fiddlers three play a tune
As if they each were one
And they their music they make
They play for love of music's sake.

Fiddler three play a tune
That we here cannot hear
Fiddlers three play a tune
That their hearts hold dear
As they play without mistake
A place in history they take

Fiddlers three play a tune
Who they were is unknown
Fiddlers three play a tune
Unheard on our hearts grown
Maybe they existed, and maybe not
Three men that maybe time has forgot?

How beautiful. My friend is a fiddler and she's wonderful. Very Passionate about her music as well. =)

Fiddlers can be so passionate in their playing, I can only imagine what three fiddlers would create together. my daughter just decided to take up the violin again, I was so happy to hear her play, even if rusty!
nice piece. hadn't read anything of yours in awhile...glad I did.
