The Spirit Remains

The Spirit Remains

A Poem by TomboyVisionary

The Spirit Remains

The flesh is broken, it might tire in our sacred paths of beauty
Sturdy, tanking walking firmly but constantly clanking
The path is long but it is a righteous journey
Distractions, green disgust, what you could be and what has been
The flesh remains sturdy, and yet the flesh can only take so much

Broken hearts and tortured minds with a spirit that remains to be touched
Halted grinds and memory binds,  it often takes control of the body
You might see yourself begin swinging blindly
Anger, rage and sorrow all shakingly untamed
Until we see ourselves worldly falsely framed

Eye's sunken and yet still breathing as we walk
It brightens my soul when I hear the divine talk
All things are possible through him who strengthens you

My vision remains clear, but my walk is firm
Focused, protecting, loving and self controlled
For hell spit me out when he found the strength of God beneath my soul

Must I unintentionally see left, right, up or down
I will see my purpose fulfilled even with a salty spiteful frown
Even if we walk to see our dreams steadily and firmly
It is vital we should always seek the Lords strength continually

For the flesh is human, you might see it left in an unfixable mess
But all of that matters not when the spirit burns nevertheless
