Tonz O' Gunz

My views on gun violence in America.

It's like the late great Guru said; they're real easy to get,
how easy we forget until there're mass degrees of death,
there's Columbine and plus Aurora movie show attacks,
and now with Sandy Hook it's like society's goin back,

as in we're not progressing but regressing with the times,
there's so much "give and get" it's like a worldwide 69,
which happens when there're tonz o' gunz intently gettin fired,
the laws they wanna pass won't stop a thing cause it's a lie.

See guns aint killin people like the government has said,
there's James Holmes; hair dyed Joker's red with eyes like he's half dead,
and then there's Jared Loughner; point blank shots to back of heads,
that bust off indiscriminately leavin pastors dead,

along with all the congregation; madmen doin biz,
that b*****d Adam Lanza in a schoolhouse shootin kids,
no gun laws could've saved those children's lives lost easily,
the pistols and the rifle used were all bought legally.

Imagine if you got that call while workin hard one day,
as parents we shouldn't live to watch our kids meet God one day,
but natural things unnaturally transpire under sun,
what's natural is its’ shine on earth, what's not are tonz o' gunz,

that're strewn about the ghetto hood like so much grass and trees,
and that's what's sad to see; we think that's how it has to be,
but when it hits suburbia it's such a tragedy,
like every single motion picture starring Master P.

Now I don't mean to preach to y'all, just speakin why I feel, that there’re no wins just losses when a person dies of steel,
that penetrates the heart and brain it's such an awful thing,
to take a life you lose your soul; to me that's off the chain.
This issue's reached a fevered pitch that's sure to strike you out,
it's swinging for the fence which shows you just what life's about,
have manners, be responsible, look out for number one,
and always watch your back because they're out there; tonz o' gunz.
