Rest In Paradise

Rest In Paradise

A Poem by The Cunning Linguist
"

When "Rest In Peace" just isn't enough....

"
This goes out to all the ones who've gone and left this life,
the ones who've left their children; left a husband, left a wife,
I'm even talkin' animals that lived as pets in life,
to strays who got no love from humans; rest in paradise.

This goes out to families who just can't let it go,
the winds of change are mighty yet you just can't let 'em blow,
there's just one God for all of us no matter what the name,
I'm right there in the depths with you 'cept who would WANT the pain?

My little brother's gone; it's on my mind like stocking caps,
God must've had a plan for him and aint no stopping that,
my anger's paper thin and I thought best to tear it twice,
and reminisce on good times; may he rest in paradise.

I'm done with saying "rest in peace" cause "peace" could be no noise,
a football game on Sunday with no fam around; no boys,
just sit and ponder hard on what the word "peace" really means,
and what you'd want for loved ones; even if they're silly things.

Since Mubarak passed I've thought of loved ones dead and gone,
my uncle, dad and parents-grand because it's never wrong,
to think their suff'ring's ended cause it's best to travel life,
believing they are someplace better; rest in paradise.
