How did I miss this one? I had no idea you'd posted this! I could kick myself....anyway...you've really created quite a characterization with this senryu. Here she is a strong woman who is not tempted by glitter and gold, but is waiting for true love. Much like the maiden described in Song of Solomon, she will refuse for a king for the true love of her shepherd boy. Beautifully written.
