Time-lapse

A Poem by TortoiseGirl
"

A short poem

"
In millions of miles and thousands of faces,
those happy first smiles,
were reduced to traces.
As time spun too fast,
some moments spilled off course.
Yellow, tainted, from the past,
glared strange hues of remorse.

I love the melancholy tone to this peice. Time is a vicious element of life, and I like how this poem expresses that

in such a short span, smiles become frowns...in just minutes, life fails our expectations, lets us down...

and the future often seems hard to enjoy, because the past haunts us.
