Bliss

Bliss

A Poem by Treylee
"

Our world is a beautiful and terrifying place.

"
I sit cross legged
In front of a wall of windows
Before me I see nature
Trees and grass
and plants of all kinds.
I'm surrounded by peace
A candle burning to my right
A calming fountain to my left

I close my eyes and focus
On the breeze
The flicker, the water
I breath
I am one with all the elements
I am one with this planet

I feel her pain and worry
Of what is to come
I don't understand either
Why us humans are so irresponsible
But then she reassures me
With a trickle and a flame
I open my eyes to her beauty slowly standing up
I think to myself we must do better.

I'll see you soon I tell her
As I leave my room of bliss
Determined to make a change.
