My Compass

My Compass

A Poem by Tracie Skarbo

I am basking

In the rippled movement

Of my mind

My thoughts fly

Over the surface

Like cotton candy clouds

To his arms

His eyes

His embrace

I want nothing more

Then to step through

This darkness that separates us

So I can breathe in his scent

Feel his caress

And hear his heart song

I know it is there

In the beat of his drum

He steps into me

I will never

Be the same

For his mark is scored

across this soul

My compass

Forever pointing

In his direction…

Ohh dear this is just so lovely..so breath taking
as i play and tickle my minds thoughts all kind do fly
i see the arms ,your eyes and you hold me,tight
want nothing ,wish for nothing ,i just walk through your darkness
want to breathe you ,feel you, hear you ,and i close my eyes
and let my self go..i know i am never the same for your marks are there on me,forever
from now ,where ever i go its you ,you lead..i just follow till eternity..just lead the way
lovely write..

Amazing, I go from the review of my poem, Heartsong, to come and pick this one to read, and it has heartsong in it. Tigra, how'd you do that?! :)
Love this poem. Becoming another one of your many devoted fans!

When love arises a true heart can't help but be drawn to it, the compass analogy is a perfect way to describe the power of love. What an artist you are.

Sweetly romantic. I've never been much of a fan of "love poetry" but this was nice, well written and not too cliche'.

hahahah ! Watch them run. I never saw such scattering
of males since the last time somebody scattered a
handful of corn before a flock of c**k-bird pigeons.

Great comment by Ed., "Does this mean our date is off."
Beautfiful !

Your writing is as clever and your mind as quirky as the
last thing I read by you. Greqt stuff. Keep it up .

I just wanted to clear things ..
there are some phrases and images that are enough to build the whole just by them selves
like i am walking into you,or i walk into your darkness, and i feel,i hear ,want to touch,i dont use any of my sense, just let myself go and i am lead by you ,i even close my eyes dont need them no more, and just feel you..this is how i felt this
these i could not even talk about..they are just felt..and felt so deep..
what loveliness..really..what could i say more..

Gorgeous, the distance is almost palpable and so is the feeling toward him
