"Oh Dear, Christopher Robin!"A Poem by DawnMusings inward and outward lol
I've tinkered with these thoughts of mine.
"Morose" is seeping in. Discouraged by this "Northwest Trek" of my life, I've fallen victim to the blues. My mother strokes her depression with nimble fingers and measured breath. I dive head-first without a care and am left with nothing left. Pull back on the reins a little, girl, give your pace a try. I struggle for a halting step shovel back a weighted sigh. Smile a little more my lovely, tell yourself a lie. The pretty things have all gone south, the predictable things all die. My rhythm is faulty. Insipid is this verse of mine. I'm twirking with the best of them, I'm crossing every..line? As I ramble like a leaky faucet, as I flood the page with dying eyes. My tears are laughter mixed and then my smile--what gravity defies. Have I made of mess of words? Have I donned the dunce's cap? I think I'll deem this little write, a monu-"mental" mishap! © 2017 DawnReviews
