Forest

Forest

A Poem by Stephanie McDaniel

A heart is like a forest
From the outside
A mystery
From the inside
A sanctuary
Trees that rustle
against the frosty wind
Like a heart beat
Caressing the loved ones from within
A sunset of magic
More great than any prosperity
As a glow in the dark
Of true loves first kiss
A wild fire
Burning down to trees of green
Like a broken heart
Filling with a ash of a shattered past
A heart is nothing more than an ever changing forest

Thanks!
Not bad. You use some good imagery in this and while I think the ending is maybe a little too narrow, you've done some nice things in this and it's a good start. Good work.
