Second Chance

Second Chance

A Poem by Travis Prino

When I look into your eyes
it doesn't take much time
and it's then I realize
that I love you
you're the only one I adore
when we're together I feel secure
these thoughts and feelings I know for sure
are through and through

you are everything that matters
you are everything I need
you are everything that matters
that's why I'm begging please
you are everything that matters
you are everything I need
you are everything that matters
will you please forgive me?

I know I made a big mistake
and it brought us to this break
there's only so much that I can take
without you near
I'm feeling selfish and absurd
there's many lessons left to be learned
but the fire in me still burns
wanting you here

you are everything that matters
you are everything I need
you are everything that matters
that's why I'm begging please
you are everything that matters
you are everything I need
you are everything that matters
will you please forgive me?

can we give this one last try?
please don't say this is goodbye
cause there's one star left in the sky
for us tonight
can we start this over again?
we both know we can't be just friends
cause neither of us can pretend
that we're alright

you are everything that matters
you everything I need
you are everything that matters
that's why I'm begging please
you are everything that matters
you are everything I need
you are everything that matters
will you please forgive me?

will you please forgive me?
you just have to forgive me.

Just a little caveat to my writing, 95% of what I write are lyrics so excuse the length and repetition and don't be deterred by that. Hope you enjoy. Feel free to comment. more..
