He was hurting

pain inside

no one listened to this boy when he cried

she was hurting

feeling stuck

everybody knew but didn't give a f**k

he was losing

gone in stride

lack of attention now the years have died

hate derived simply from a lack of love

now he's married

gorgeous wife

you'd never realize he had such a hard life

she got addicted

fell apart

she couldn't take what had been done to her heart

his family distant

but still alive

he'll never need them to be there at his side

she's still breathing

but full of scars

family's gone, she doesn't know where or who they are

it's not easy to see

how this life will be
