Faces Building Races

Faces Building Races

A Poem by Beth Shade

Faces building Races

In the battle of the ages

Everyone things they're winning

But in this battle all are losing

And the more hate you throw in,

the faster blood is flowing

and in the long run

no ones ever really won.

In this world

faces are killing faces

and the rats all run the races

and all are counting paces

but no one saves the races.

Color colors everywhere

but everyone bleeds red.

Fire fires burning

and hate leaves everyone dead.

Tell me teller tell me

why does color matter?

Weren't we all created on a deadly equal platter?

No where no one says the black man bit the fruit.

Did someone somewhere say a white man did it too?

But faces run the races

and leaves the rest for dead.

And slowly surely truly the world will lose its head.

Color weight and height rule a world inside His hand.

Labels labels everywhere

Emo goth and fat.

Faces races can't keep  paces

The world will lose its head.
